Thor, Loki, and Thor's steward Thialfi journeyed to Utgard, the land of giants. Along the way they met Skrymir, a giant larger than any they had ever seen. His snoring was so loud it shook the ground. Thor decided to kill the giant to steal his sack of food. He smacked Skrymir with his hammer with all of his strength. The giant simply awoke and asked if a twig had fallen on him.
As they entered the fortress of Utgard, they were greeted by Utgardloki. Utgardloki asked the visitors what they could do that was remarkable. Loki claimed that he could eat faster than anyone. Thor claimed that he could drink more than anyone. And Thialfi claimed that he could run faster than anyone.
Utgardloki put them to the test. Loki faced off with a giant named Logi in an eating competition. Loki ate as fast as he could, ripping through the flesh of animals. Although he ate at the same speed as Logi, he was not able to through wood and bones like his opponent. Thus, he lost.
Thialfi raced against a giant boy named Hugi. Although he ran as fast as he could, he was only half as fast as his opponent.
Thor was given a gigantic horn of mead. He drank until he could no longer breathe, but found that the mead in the horn had not gone down. He tried once more, and the mead had only gone down by the length of a thumb. One more time, and still it had only decreased an inch.
Utgardloki was disappointed. He asked if Thor could even lift a cat. Thor attempted this challenge as well, but was only able to get the cat to lift one of its paws.
Utgardloki then asked Thor to wrestle with his elderly mother. Once again, Thor was defeated, forced onto one knee.
Utgardloki ushered his guests out of the fortress. He told them then that he had deceived them. Logi, whom Loki had eaten against was fire itself. Hugi, who Thialfi had raced against, was thought. Nobody can run faster than a thought. The horn Thor had drank from contained the sea. Thor had lowered the ocean itself, creating tides in the process. The cat was Jormungundr, the Midgard serpent which circles the world. And the old woman was old age.
Their giant host told them that he feared their power, and would not let them find him again. And with that, he and his fortress vanished.

In this challenge, you will have 6 possible challenges to compete in. Each member of your tribe will compete in one of the 6. The 6 challenges are...
1. Bananagrams: For this, you will be given a set of letters. You must use all of the letters to form a crossword, similar to scrabble. All letters must be connected, and all letters must be used. Only English words may be used, and no proper nouns.
Eg:
A - 2
E - 3
G - 1
H - 2
I - 1
M - 2
R - 1
T - 2
Hammer
e
i
gate
h
t
The fastest time gets the 3 pointer. A 5 minute penalty will be given for every mistake (unused letter, additional letter, incorrect word). Submit solution via image or text.
2. Skyscraper Puzzle: You will solve a skyscraper puzzle. May submit the solution as an image or a grid of text numbers. For details as to how this puzzle works, see this link www.brainbashers.com/skyscrapershelp.asp
3. HTML Game 1: Skill-based. Desktop recommended, but will work on mobile.
4. HTML Game 2: Puzzle-based. Works on mobile.
5. Trivia Battle: At 6:00 PM EST tomorrow the trivia challenge will start. All 3 participants will be given access to a subforum. I will ask a new question at every minute mark from XX:01 to XX:15. The first correct response gets the point. You may only respond once per question, so I will take the first thing you say. In the event of a tie there will be tiebreaker questions. Google is allowed.
6. Minority Rule: I will present 5 yes or no questions to the three participants. Each player will respond in their confessional. For each question, if the player is in the minority, they will get a point. The most points wins. If a 3 way tie results, no players score points. In the event of a two way tie for first, both receive 2 points, while the other receives 1. In the event of a tie for last, both receive 1 point. You will have a thread to talk to the other two players, and can discuss this challenge in clans or PMs with your tribe members.
Asking teammates for help with your challenge is not allowed, except for Minority Rule. It's all on you.
First place in a challenge gets 3 points. Second gets 2 point. Third gets 1. You may also "boast" about your ability. If you do, you will receive twice as many points for winning, but will get no points if you do not place first.
You have 24 hours to pick who will do each challenge and whether they will boast. Bold your final choices. Players may only boast for challenges they are doing themselves.
You will have 24 hours to complete the challenge itself. Timed challenges will use Google forms.
The top two tribes in points will get a basket of Idun's apples, preserving their immortality for one round. The other tribe will need to sacrifice one of their own at tribal council.
