An Axis Mundi is considered to be the center of the world. This is the location at which heaven and earth are connected. This allows for messages to be sent between the heavens and earth.
Many different cultures have had different locations thought to be the center of the world. Often these are the highest mountains known to a certain people.
Examples include Mount Kunlun in China, Mount Zion in Israel, Mount Olympus and Greece, and Mount Fuji in Japan.
In this challenge, you will answer questions with a number. But your goal is not to be "correct". Most of these answers aren't things you can even google!
The goal is to get the median answer - the one ranked in the middle.
Scoring goes as follows –
5th – 90 points
4th or 6th – 70 points
3rd or 7th – 50 points
2nd or 8th – 30 points
1st or 9th – 10 points
In the event that a tie occurs for a certain placement, your score will be subtracted by 10.
(eg: 10, 15, 20, 45, 45, 50, 60, 60, 90. Both 45s receive 80 points, while both 60s receive 40. All others are unchanged)
Discussion of answers is not allowed. Here are the questions…
1. How many times in this year have you written your name?
2. In what year will a person walk on Mars?
3. How many people in the world currently worship the Greek pantheon?
4. How many people have you met in your entire life?
5. What will the cost of a gallon of milk be in 2050?
6. If you had a time machine, what year would you go back to?
7. How many books have you read in your life?
Answer in a number. Must be a whole number (although question 5 can use cents). Answers do not need to be honest in any way.
