Here is a 10x10 grid for creating your maze. You'll need to use an image editing program to make the maze. If no team member has access to one, you may use paper and pencil.

Ok guys - I'll propose a strategy here.
This is a 10x10 maze. I don't think it's going to be rediculous to solve, regardless of how many special tiles we use. I would propose a counter strategy of creating a simple maze, but one thay maximizes the number of turns necessary to complete the maze.
Thoughts?

I think that is the best way at going at it

I think that is the best way at going at it It also maximizes chances of mistakes. Vucub, what's penalty for mistakes? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

30 minutes is the maximum time. So if they make a mistake or go over, it's 30 minutes.

OK - so we just try to get the maximum amount of turns, and hope they frick up writing it down.

hey y'all - this work? it's obvs simple - but the idea is we're hoping they take a long time to transcribe and/or screw up the transcription itself. This maximizes time spent writing down the solution - I can't imagine any 10x10 maze is going to be rediculous to solve. I guess I'd just make the suggestion that when we are solving it ourselves, make sure you have the rulebook on you so you can make sure every move you make is legal

While this is a valid strategy I think we should still discuss some other ways we can get the other teams to trip up, in case we thought of something ingenious.
Right now what I have in mind is a teleporter blocking the way and leads to another part of the maze. The "other part of the maze" is basically unsolvable and the trick is you have to use the teleporter again to go back and continue on.

Erebus, that's definitely the way to go about it, unless any of us turn into super geniuses. As for Osiris, it seems like a good idea on paper, but I'm unsure how that would actually work. Couldn't someone just avoid the teleporter in the first place?

That's why I was asking. Didn't make sense initially.

That's why I was asking. Didn't make sense initially. It makes sense - he's basically hoping they get tripped up and don't realize the solution lies in going back through the teleporter. It's a good idea, but we shouldn't forget it's only 10x10. If it were 20x20 or even 15x15 that'd be way more viable imo, but I'm ready to be proven wrong Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

If you want going back to be viable, there must be a way to get to the end without the teleporter, that you can just avoid. (and the whole impossible section at the same time)

sorry, that wasn't an insult, sorry it came off like one And I don't think that's the case If you have a path where N is a normal spot T is teleporter and - is a wall --------------------- N N N T N N --------------------- Then to get to the fourth normal square, you'd have to go through the teleporter, and then go back through the teleporter and move right afterwards. large square = teleporter small square = ice grey/black = oil green = start/end blue = water red = fire the solution is get to the first teleporter, enter the second teleporter back to the first, go right and around and to the water. then go to the second teleporter to teleport back to the first and go over to the exit.
